Beliefs
It was a long holiday last weekend (well, actually just 3 days)
and I did enjoy every single minute of my time.
I got a chance to speak with some intellectuals
and the conversations brightened my vision.
It was about the religion. Yes, mainly on Buddhism and Christian.
Note: This is not a religious topic.
There is nothing that is truly right or wrong.
Nothing is better and nothing is worse.
We just shared about how different we see or perceive things.
I do appreciate all religions and I can be friends
with people from other religions without any problems.
He shared me about his life story.
His sister got sick due to a stomach cancer
so his father came from Burma to visit the daughter.
The father, later on, got sick with stomach cancer as well
and he passed away during his visit. (I'm sorry)
My friend was so sad and he was mad at everything at the time,
until one day he realized that he was already blessed enough
having a chance to meet and greet with his father
before he said goodbye to the family.
He added that God always planned the best for him and all of his children.
What I did realize here from the conversation was
he had a mindset to see things in a better way.
No matter how hard the situation is, Christians always
have some hope and wait for a better thing that
they believe God will eventually provide to them.
That's good. When you have hope, you try to do better and believe it will be better.
As a Buddhist, I always try my best too
but we mainly believe the good things come because we work hard enough for it.
As I said, there is nothing that's truly right or wrong. These are beliefs.
And they are good beliefs that will not hurt you.
Happy belated 4th July.
Please stay well and let's believe we will get through this pandemic together.
Things will certainly be more normal soon.
