When you feel like giving up
As time goes by, there may be a lot of challenges you face every day.
You are encouraged to fight,
to work on it, to go for it and to never give up.
But sometimes, when you have been holding on for so long,
and still cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel,
there will be days you want to give up.
It's totally ok
to make some mistakes (it proves that you are trying),
to have a bad day (a bad day only lasts 24 hours),
to be less than perfect (count the progress, not perfection),
to ask for help (as we all need it sometimes),
to take a break (self-care is essential), and
to take small steps (because small steps still lead to big changes).
Everyday, I have a list of what I need to do,
what I should do and what's good if I do.
I am very close to be a perfectionist,
and I always want to mark all of the lists done before I end my day.
and that stresses me out sometimes.
Yesterday was a tiring day for me.
I was totally drained when it's almost night time,
so I decided to put those which are not in my priorities aside,
as they can be done at a later time.
I decided to shut down everything,
took a shower and just rested for a night.
I woke up in the morning with my body and soul reset,
and they seems to be functioning better than yesterday.
I feel like we all need to listen to ourselves,
when we can go further, faster or when we need a rest.
I think it's okay if I take smaller steps sometimes as long as I do not quit.
Whenever you feel like giving up, remember the reasons why you started.
You didn't come this far, only to come this far.
