True happiness

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap clap)

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap clap)

If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it.

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap clap)

May I start a chapter with this song?

And may I also ask.. Are you happy now?

There are actually two kinds of happiness.

Happiness that arises when you get what you desire

and happiness that arises with the total absence of desire.

Let’s talk about the first kind of happiness - Happiness of being satisfied.

If you desire for something and you get it, you feel happy.

But by the time you get something, you may be desiring for something else,

and you keep looking for more and more things and can never be truly satisfied.

Another word, this kind of happiness changes from stage to stage

and the change is continuous and endless.

Let’s move to the second kind of happiness - Happiness of no desire.

This happiness arises when you are completely free from all desires.

Imagine if you do not desire for anything,

You do not wish or want to see things different,

Instead, you see things, understand and accept them as they truly are,

You are satisfied already.

As a human, we always have some desires.

I do not think it’s bad to have a desire as long as it helps push your life forward,
is realistic and does not hurt anyone including yourself.
Desire could be the fuel and passion for life.

May you find happiness.
